Availability modelling for periodically inspected systems under mixed maintenance policies

The availability of a periodic inspection system under mixed maintenance policies is studied in this paper. To accommodate the characteristic multiple failure modes for complex systems, failures can be divided into two modes: hard and soft failure. When occurs, corresponding corrective will performed, taking random time perfect policy; contrast, if found, preventive imperfect policy. dynamic age setback model adopted maintenance, which accurately reflect fault characteristics degraded system. Then an analytical steady state instantaneous are derived. Moreover, optimal method to maximize steady-state through adjusting interval researched. According above research, optimization unit cost, intervals Finally, developed approach demonstrated by numerical example.
